GizChina now reports that Elephone could be working on a mysterious device with some really impressive specs. During the annual Hong Kong trade fair, Elephone disclosed that it is working on a new flagship device which will feature a QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM and a 20.7-megapixel camera with Sony’s IMX230 sensor. The smartphone is also said to feature a metal frame and really thin side bezels. And if this wasn’t enough, the device is said to be able to run both Android 5.0 Lollipop and Windows 10. Now how about that? However, at the moment it’s not sure whether this means a dual-boot or that there will be two separate version. Frankly, I think the second version sounds more plausible, since a dual-boot system could pose a lot of problems on the users’ side. Furthermore, the handset is also said to get a fingerprint scanner and Intel’s SoC. This is is surprising, especially if we consider the fact that Intel isn’t know for being a leader in the mobile chipmaking industry. Elephone has been relying on MediaTek’s chips until now, but it seems they have changed their mind. At the moment we’re not sure, but maybe they were trying to decrease overall production costs.
