Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon Edition
To begin with, the Horizon Edition Mi Notebook 14 comes with a metal chassis, built using aluminum and magnesium alloy, coming in at 17.15mm thin and weighing in at 1.35Kg. The laptop houses a 14-inch FHD panel with 3mm thick bezels surrounding the three sides. Xiaomi calls it the Horizon display, and thus, the name. The display boasts a 91% screen-to-body ratio and suggests a 178-degree viewing angle. It comes with a 60Hz refresh rate and a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 250 nits of brightness. However, the reduced bezels have a trade-off — there is no webcam on the laptop. As a reason, Xiaomi is offering a free Mi WebCam HD bundled in the box. In terms of internals, the Horizon Edition is powered by the latest Intel 10th-Gen CometLake processors (Core i7-10510U) with the Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU. The CPU offers a boost clock speed of 4.9GHz, and the GPU comes with 2GB of VRAM. Xiaomi touts the laptop to be an ideal choice for productivity, gaming, designing & editing, and regular day-to-day tasks. Assisting the processor is 8GB of (2666MHz) DDR4 RAM and 512GB of NVMe SSD with transfer rates of 3000MB/s. To power the internals, the laptop includes a 46Wh battery, which, as per the company claims, offers up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. Moreover, it also features 65W fast charging that promises to juice up from 0 to 50% in around 30 minutes. Talking about features, the Horizon Edition comes with features like Mi Blaze Unlock: locks/unlocks the laptop using Mi Band, Mi Smart Share: offers faster file sharing between devices, along with Performance Mode and Silent Mode. For connectivity, the machine comes with dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, 2x USB 3.1, 1x USB 2.0, an audio jack, and Type-C (for charging and data transfer). The Mi Notebook runs on Windows 10 Home Edition and comes with a one month of Office 365.
