What’s interesting though is that Google has leaked the Indian pricing for the new Nexus devices. The Nexus 6P starts at a retail price of Rs 39,999 (for 32GB) and the Nexus 5X at Rs 31,900 (for 16GB). We still don’t have the official word on when the Nexus will be up for pre-order in India but our sources are indicating that the pre-orders would start as soon as second week of October – just in time for Diwali (and iPhone 6s launch). Digging up the html source of Google Store reveals individual pricing of different variants of both Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. the 32GB version of Nexus 5X will be priced at Rs 35,900, while the 64GB and 128GB variants of Nexus 6P will be priced at Rs 42,999 and Rs 47,999 respectively. Nexus devices have been defining pure Android experience from quite some time, the Nexus 5 was in fact such a hit that Google decided to make a sequel out of it thus the Nexus 5X. Nexus 6P comes fitted with a 5.7-inch WQHD AMOLED display translating into a staggering pixel density of 518ppi and unlike the 5X, which comes with a Gorilla 3 protection the 6P opts for the Corning Gorilla 4 protection. The imaging department is managed by a 12.3-Megapixel primary camera unit and a 8-megapixel secondary unit, both of which can capture video at 4K resolution. Under the hood, Nexus 6P is powered by a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 Octa-core chipset clocked at an impressive 2.0GHz. Adreno 430 is the GPU which will be taking care of the graphics. The RAM shapes up in the form of a 3GB LPDDR4 unit and the storage options range from 32GB to 128GB. Unlike Nexus 6P which has a solid metallic unibody build, the Nexus 5X comes in a polycarbonate like finish, which is a bit too tacky to look at. The 5X comes with a 5.2-inch FHD display offering a pixel density of 423ppi. On the imaging front things remain the same except for the smaller 5-Megapixel secondary camera unit. Nexus 5X is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and paired with a meager 2GB LPDDR3 RAM, which for many will be the point of concern. The phone will be available in two variants, 16GB and 32GB. Nexus 5X will come in Carbon, Quartz and Ice color schemes. Much like the Nexus 6 last year, the pricing of both Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X seem to be on the higher side – something which is very unlike Nexus when it started off. Between the two, the Nexus 6P does look a better deal with top notch specs, better metallic build, super high resolution display as well as higher storage options. Expect Google India to share the invite with the press for the launch event. Stay tuned for more details!
