The Redmi Note 7 flaunts a 6.3-inch Dot Notch Full HD+ IPS LCD with 2340×1080 pixel resolution, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and the back for protection against scratch and dust. The display on the Note 7 is an LTPS in-screen display, similar to the Note 7 Pro.

Performance

Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset (based on Kyro 260 and 14nm FinFet process), paired with 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and 32GB or 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card) options. For connectivity, the Note 7 comes with USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of other hardware, the device packs in an IR blaster and a fingerprint sensor on the mounted on the back. It packs in a 4000 mAh battery, with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 support and runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

Camera

In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 7 sports a dual camera setup on the rear with a 12MP primary sensor + a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, it has a single 13MP AI camera on the front with AI scene detection, AI beauty, AI face unlock, and AI portrait selfie. For night photography, it comes with the steady handheld night photography mode based on Xiaomi’s AI algorithm, present on the Note 7 Pro.

Redmi Note 7 Pricing and Availability

The Redmi Note 7 comes in three different colors: Onyx Black, Ruby Red, and Sapphire Blue, and is priced at Rs 9999 for the 3GB + 32GB variant and Rs 11999 for the 4GB + 64 GB variant. The first sale for the device will be live on March 6, 12 Noon on Mi.com, Mi Home, and Flipkart. The device will be bundled-in with an “ultra-slim” case.

Xiaomi has partnered with Airtel to provide “100% more data” with data benefits of up to 1120GB on Redmi Note 7. On Redmi Note 7, Airtel will provide 4GB/day of free 4G data instead of 2GB/day on RC 249 prepaid plan. And on RC 349 plan, instead of 3GB/day, Redmi Note 7 users will be getting 6GB/day of 4G data. In addition to the data benefits, Airtel will be providing unlimited voice calling, free subscription to Airtel TV premium and other Airtel Thanks benefits.
