According to OnLeaks, the 2020 iPad Pro models may share the same dimensions as the current iPad Pro models. And while he has shared dimensions for the 11-inch model only, which suggests an overall dimension of 248 x 178.6 x 5.9mm, there is no detail for the 12.9-inch model.
Further, he also says that the 11-inch model might feature a metal black, similar to the current generation iPad Pro, whereas the bigger 12.9-inch model might get a glass back panel found on the newest iPhones.
Besides the design and dimensions, with the new iPhones sporting a triple camera setup on the rear — which includes a primary, a telephoto, and an ultra-wide sensor — we can expect to see a similar approach from Apple for the upcoming iPad Pro models. As, unlike the regular iPads, the Pro holds a certain level of advantage over the other models in terms of its hardware and performance, which, in case of the upcoming iPad Pro models, must reflect to maintain its Pro moniker. Considering that Apple has never bothered to put more than one camera, many of us would wonder why they are now supposedly stuffing in three lenses on such a big device. Adding those extra cameras including the depth sensor on the iPad Pro makes a lot of sense since AR has found immense use in the education sector where iPads rule the roost. Apple is also reportedly working on an AR headset set to debut in 2022. While there is not much known about the upcoming iPad Pro models yet, we can expect these devices to rock the latest set of hardware from Apple, as has been the case with the iPad Pros so far. And it won’t be until March that we get to see the new iPad Pro models. Besides iPad Pro, of late, there have been a lot of ongoing rumors for the iPhone SE 2, which might as well make a surprise appearance at Apple’s Spring announcement next year.
