The leak says that Xiaomi Mi 5s will come equipped with a 5.15-inch 2K display with 650-nit brightness which is also expected to support a variation of 3D touch. In all likelihood, one might find the Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.4GHz under the hood accompanied by 6GB of RAM. On the storage front, the Mi 5s is expected to offer UFS 2.0 internal storage. As seen lately with Xiaomi devices, the Mi 5s will mostly be offered in different variants including, 4GB RAM/64GB Storage and a top of the line variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (The latest leak lists only 6GB variant.). The leaked specifications also outline the camera details including 16-Megapixel primary sensor with 4-axis optical image stabilization, 6P lens, PDAF and also sapphire glass for protection. Furthermore, the device is expected to come with a dual tone LED flash and other camera features including 4K recording. Also, the leaks reveal dimensional aspects of the Xiaomi Mi 5s including the possibility that it is 7.25 mm thick and weighs in at 147 gms. On the connectivity front, the Mi 5s comes endowed with all the sensors including NFC support. And dual standby 4G network. The device is said to be backed by a 3490 mAh battery supporting Qualcomm fast charge and a USB Type-C port. The rumors might not be right in entirety but they still help us gauge the upcoming Mi 5s.
Xiaomi has been lately concentrating on its Redmi line up which is the most widely sold series coming from the Chinese manufacturer. But on the other hand, Xiaomi is also known for smartphones like Mi 3 which for the first time bought flagship specifications for a phone that cost nearly half its competition. In all likelihood, Xiaomi might also keep the 6GB RAM in Mi 5s standard just to keep pace with the segment which is currently dominated by the likes of OnePlus 3 and Le Max 2.
